Larry J. Thorne

Larry J. Thorne, age 79, of Sidney, passed away January 30, 2023, at 5:20 p.m. at Miami Valley Hospital.  He was born October 12, 1943, in Sidney, to the late Harold (Fred) Frederick Thorne and Delma Mae (Morey) Thorne.

Larry is survived by sister, Arlene Snider of Piqua, brother, Gary Thorne of Toledo, and sister-in-law, Marline Thorne of the Villages in Florida.  Also surviving are seven nephews and two nieces.

He was preceded in death by brother, Bob Thorne, sister, Janet Thorne and brother-in-law, James (Jim) Snider.

Larry proudly served in the United States Air Force. He was a lifetime member of the First Christian Church in Sidney where he served as an Elder. He retired from Gibbs Heating and Air Conditioning in Sidney.  He loved spending time with his family and many friends.

Family and friends may visit on Monday, February 6, 2023, from 10:00 until 11:30 a.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney.  Funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. with Pastor Kris Geise officiating.  Burial will follow at Cedar Point Cemetery, Pasco.  Full military honors will be performed by the United States Air Force and Shelby County Veterans.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the First Christian Church in Larry’s memory.
