June Evelyn Albers

June Evelyn Albers, lifelong Sidney resident and wife of late husband, Paul Albers, peacefully joined the Lord whom she loved and served on Saturday, August 12, 2023. June was the only child of Charles and Harriet Seving of Sidney, born March 22, 1923, having had her family recently celebrate with her on her 100th birthday.  She was an active member of St. John's Lutheran Church until she and Paul retired to Florida. Since 2017, June had resided in Fountain Hills, Arizona.

Throughout her adult life, June was an 80 year member of Eastern Star - Pleiades Chapter, member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority, and a 500-hour volunteer at Wilson Memorial Hospital.  June's personal passions were playing bridge and golf, even sinking a couple of holes-in-one.  

June was a loving and devoted wife and mother to David Albers of Arvada, CO and Becky Albers Hill (Jim) of Fountain Hills, AZ.  Along with her children, June leaves three grandchildren:  Jeffrey Hill (Deanna) of La Jolla, CA, Stephanie Welliver (Dan) of Gig Harbor, WA, and Heather Payton (Greg) of Fountain Hills, AZ.  June was also loved as "Grammy" by six great-grandchildren: Davis Payton, Haley Welliver, Andrew Payton, Max Welliver, Stephen Hill, and Lauren Hill.  

June will be greatly missed and remembered for her giving personality, kind heart and beautiful smile.

Arrangements are being handled by Adams Funeral Home. Visitation will be at St. John's Lutheran Church on Monday, August 21 from 11:00am-12:30pm. The funeral service will begin at 1:00pm followed by burial at Graceland Cemetery.
