Juanita E. Branscum

Juanita E. Branscum, age 82, of Sidney, passed away on Friday, March 17, 2023, at her residence.  She was born on May 25, 1940, in Washington County, VA, to the late Joe Ed and Virginia Bell (Buck) Morrison.  On June 25, 1956, she married Leonard H. Branscum and he preceded her in death on May 14, 2005.

Juanita is survived by four children: Cecil (Vicki) Branscum, Allen (Sharon) Branscum, Kathy (Dale) Herbert and Ellen (Tim) Detrick, all of Sidney; 19 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; one sister: Blanche Puckett of Minster; special sister-in-law: Brenda Branscum; and special friend: Estel Watters of Sidney.  In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers: George Morrison and Edward Morrison; one granddaughter: Christina Detrick; and special friend: Diane Watters.

Juanita was a member of Sidney Baptist Church.  She was also a member of Red Hat Assoc. and VFW Auxiliary.  Juanita enjoyed playing cards at the VFW every Sunday, especially euchre.  She also enjoyed gardening and taking care of her flowers.  Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney, OH, with Pastor Rodney Reynolds officiating.  Burial will follow in Shelby Memory Gardens, Sidney.  Family will receive friends from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home.
