John William "Footsi" Arnett

John William “Footsi” Arnett, age 74, of Quincy, passed away on Thursday, August 26, 2021, at his residence with his loving wife and daughter at his side.  He was born on February 4, 1947 in Shelby County, OH to the late Freeman Allen and Eva Louise (Hulsmeyer) Arnett.  On June 17, 1978, he married Karen (Sullenberger) Arnett and she survives.

In addition to his wife, Footsi is survived by one daughter: Pamela Oelker of Urbana; two grandchildren: Nathen Stewart and Hailee Clifford; siblings: Gerald Arnett of Quincy, Joyce Leis of Sidney and Robert (Janet) Garcia of Columbus.

Footsi was a member of United Methodist Church in Pemberton.  He was a 1965 graduate of Riverside High School.  Footsi enjoyed NASCAR, NHRA, drag racing and playing cards with friends. He was a truck driver.

Service will be held at a later date.  Arrangements are being handled by Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney, OH.
