Joel Lanell Higgins

Joel Lanell Higgins, age 43 of Troy, passed away Sunday, March 24, 2019 at 5:12 a.m. at Upper Valley Medical Center. He was born August 21, 1975 in Troy, Ohio, to the late Willard Higgins and Laura Jo Foster Brown.

Joel is survived by fiancé Ashley Haines; eight children, four girls and four boys; two brothers Eric Higgins Sr., and Jaim’E (Jody) Brown; and several grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a special Aunt Ovena Higgins. He was preceded in death by one brother, Willard Higgins Jr. (Junior).

Joel was a graduate of Troy High School. He worked for Fitch Remodeling Company for many years. He loved cook outs and spending time with his family and friends.

Family and friends may call Saturday, March 30, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney. Services will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Penny Gooch and Lois Mc Donald officiating. Interment will be held at Higgins Cemetery in Hindman, Kentucky.
