Joe M. Wilson, age 87, passed away peacefully at his residence on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was born September 8, 1936, in Keno, Kentucky, to the late Herbert Wilson and Sarah (Alsip) Wilson.
He was the last survivor of eleven children.
On December 16, 1962, he married his wife, Shirley (Bohlier) Wilson, and she survives.
Also surviving are his daughter and caregiver, Shelly (Wilson) Mann of Sidney, three grandchildren; Andrew John Marvin Wilson, Scott Wilson, Shayna (Mann) Lukowski, great-grandchildren; Hazel Grace Wilson and Beau Gentry Wilson.
A son Marvin W. Wilson preceded him in death.
Joe was a member of the First Baptist Church of Sidney and retired from Metropolitan Housing, employed in maintenance. He was a paint and body man who enjoyed tinkering and fixing all sorts of things. He was a “jack of all trades”. Joe loved working in his garden and mowing. He will be missed by his family and his friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 19, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at the funeral home with Pastor Scott New officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Point Cemetery in Pasco.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Wilson Hospice in Joe’s memory.
