Jimmie Lee Martin, age 82, of Sidney, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 20, 2020 at Kettering Medical Center.
He was born October 15, 1938 in Habersham, TN., to the late Hubert Henry Martin and Pearl Marie (Marlowe) Martin. He married Anita (Dobbins) Martin on August 28, 2009 and she survives in Sidney.
Also surviving are children; Jennie Lee Martin of Clarksville, Indiana, Wayne (Pam) Powers of Nashville, Tennessee, Tony (Mabel) Gray of Tampa, Florida, Dawn Dunn of Bellefontaine, many grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Surviving also are siblings; Arnold G. Martin of Sidney, Drama Bey of Sidney, and Darlene (Julian) Dean of Sidney.
Jimmie was preceded in death by sons Marvin Martin and Tracy Campbell, brothers Hubert Martin Jr., Kenneth Mitchell Martin, twin sisters Renitta Martin and Viredia Mertz and brother-in-law Robert E. Bey Sr.
Jimmie was a member of the Brooklyn Independent Avenue Church of God. He was a retired truck driver after many years on the road. He loved reading his Bible and singing in church. He enjoyed watching sports of all kinds. He will be sadly missed by his family, also his kids, grandkids and friends.
Family and friends may visit on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Arnold G. Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Shelby Memory Gardens, Sidney.
