Jessie Junior Stephens, age 69, of Sidney, passed away peacefully Monday, March 29, 2021 at his residence.
He was born June 18, 1951 in Somerset, Kentucky, to the late Jessie Robert Stephens and Mary Christine (Akers) Stephens. On June 17, 1970, he married Lucinda (Murphy) Stephens and she survives in Sidney.
Also surviving are children; Tammy (Terry) Little of Versailles, Ohio, Michelle (Paul) Compton of Piqua, Robert (Mary) Murphy of Sidney, Jeremy (Jamie) Stephens of Kettlersville, Ohio, grandchildren; Samantha (Cody) Hurst, Dylan (Leslie) Little, Travis Murphy, Levi Murphy, Gabrielle (Hunter) Davis, Montana Stephens, Nathanial Stephens, Jessie James Stephens, Eliza Rose Stephens, Timothy Hamblin, Anthony Hamblin, Courtney Compton, great grandchildren; Eva Little, Payton Little, Kaylee Little (Huber), Seth Collins, Kamern Wolf, Quinton Stephens, ZahRa Wolfe and Dawson James Davis. He is survived also by siblings; Roger Stephens of Burnside, Kentucky, Faye Goff of Pemberton, Steve (Diana) Young of Sidney, James (Rita) Stephens of Sidney and Mikel Stephens of Sidney, and sister-in-law, Vicki Stephens of Sidney.
Jessie was preceded in death by siblings; Donald Ray Stephens, Betty Davidson, Ronnie Stephens, Margie (Paul) Branscum, sister-in-law Judy Stephens and brother-in-laws, James Goff and Charlie Davidson.
Jessie was a jack of all trades and liked to tinker around and fix up old cars. He enjoyed building things. He owned his own business, J R Grinding in Versailles. He worked at many foundries during his lifetime. He loved country music and played in many bands throughout the surrounding area. He loved spending time with his family and friends.
Family and friends may visit on April 9, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Anthony Krummery officiating. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery, Sidney.
