Jerry Thomas Hale, age 87, of Anna, passed away on Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at Wilson Health in Sidney. He was born on May 2, 1934, in Ravenna, OH, to the late Mark Snyder and Mary Hilda (McCune) Hale.
Jerry is survived by five children: Mike (Elizabeth) Hale of Lebanon, PA, Lynn Hale of Blanco, TX, Mark (Gina) Hale of Greybull, WY, Paul (Anita) Hale of Bloomville, OH and Cindy Hale of Anna, OH; two sisters: Barbara Homolya of Toledo, OH and Sally Chenvey of Wooster, OH; eleven grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Janet Marie (Dundon) Hale.
Jerry proudly served his country as a member of the US Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the VFW Post 4239 in Sidney and the American Legion Post 493 in Jackson Center. Jerry was a history buff. He enjoyed making bead necklaces, nerf guns, Indian artifacts fishing at Ft. Loramie Lake and his cat: Red. Jerry was a self-employed dry wall contractor.
Private graveside services will be held at a later date. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in McCartyville, OH.
