Jerome H. Cable

Jerome H. Cable, age 85, of Sidney, passed away Monday, December 20, 2021 at Upper Valley Medical Center in Troy.

He was born April 14, 1936 in St. Mary’s Ohio to the late James Cable and Freda (Hardin) Cable.  On March 1, 1958, he married Mary Jean (Casey) Cable and she survives.

Also surviving are children; Jeff (Cindy) Cable of Sidney, Greg (Liz) Cable of Sidney, Kevin (Sherry) Cable of Englewood, Ohio, Dawn Crist of Bradenton, Florida, Mindy (Charles) Pipke of Wapakoneta, Ohio, fourteen grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren.  Surviving also are brothers, Tom Cable of California, Larry Cable of Sidney and sister Jenny Dohner of Sidney.

Jerome was preceded in death by grandson Xavier and siblings; James Cable, Dick Cable, Emma Hamilton, Bill Cable, Charles Cable, Lonna Wolfe, Pat Patterson, Cecil Cable and Bob Cable.

He was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church in Sidney and a 1956 graduate of Sidney High School.  He retired after many faithful years from Alcoa in Sidney. Jerome was a member of the Moose, Iutis, Vespa, wrestling boosters and Shelby Oaks Country Club. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, traveling and an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns, Notre Dame and Ohio State football. He was a family man who loved spending time with his family and friends.

Family and friends may visit on Monday, December 27, 2021, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Rd., Sidney.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at 10: a.m. at Holy Angels Catholic Church in Sidney.  A private service will be held at Graceland Cemetery.
