Jeff Lobaugh Obituary

Jeff Lobaugh, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and uncle, passed away peacefully on February 16, 2025, at the age of 84. Bom in Dayton, Ohio, on March 28, 1940, Jeff lived a life full of love, dedication, and unwavering commitment to his family and community.

A graduate of Belmont High School, Jeff furthered his education at the University of Cincinnati, earning a Bachelor of Science in Business degree. His professional career spanned 43 years in the banking industry, beginning with Gem City Savings, which later became First National, then National City Bank, and is now PNC Bank. Early in his career, Jeff moved to Troy, Ohio, serving as the branch assistant manager before being promoted to branch manager. Even as he rose to executive leadership at the bank's headquarters in Downtown Dayton, he and his wife, Darana, chose to stay in Troy to raise their family.

Jeff and Darana shared 63 wonderful years of marriage, building a loving home filled with cherished memories. Together, they raised three children:

Scott Lobaugh, married to Mia Bisig Lobaugh, and their children Garrett Lobaugh and Cassilly Lobaugh Klopfenstein (husband Aaron), along with their children Ada and Kora.

Chuck Lobaugh, married to Marianne Hephner Lobaugh, and their children Victoria Lobaugh Perry (husband Kevin Perry), along with their children Ezra and Noel, Karana Lobaugh, and Elizabeth Lobaugh.

Kim Lobaugh Bixler, married to Andy Bixler, and their children Bart, Hope, and Blake.

Jeff is also survived by his sister, Susan Tomlin, and her daughter, Amanda Tomlin; as well as his brother and sister-in-law, Chuck Grandin and Sharon Glock Grandin and their son's Todd Grandin and Chuck Grandin.

After retiring, Jeff and Darana moved to The Villages in Florida, where they enjoyed an active and fulfilling retirement. In later years, they returned to Anna, Ohio, to be closer to family.

Jeff had a passion for golf and cherished his fishing trips to Michigan with his lifelong friends. He also enjoyed extended family vacations on Watts Bar Lake in Tennessee, creating lasting memories with those he loved most.

He will be remembered for his kindness, integrity, and deep love for his family. His legacy lives on in the many lives he touched, and he will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

A small private family service will be held in his honor.

Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney, has been entrusted with all funeral arrangements.
