Janice C. (New) Stephens

Janice C. Stephens, age 78, of Sidney, passed away peacefully October 14, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. She was born August 13, 1943 in Parkers Lake, Kentucky, to the late Roy New and Clara (Vestal) New.

On September 30, 1961, she married Clarence Stephens who preceded her in death on February 26, 2018. Janice is survived by son Clarence (Sandy) Stephens of Sidney, daughter-in-law, Mellisa Stephens of Piqua, grandchildren; Jennifer, Roy, David, Lindsey, Clinton and thirteen great grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, son Kevin Stephens, two brothers and five sisters.

Janice was of the Baptist faith.  She enjoyed attending to her vegetable and flower gardens.  She was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking and no one ever left her home hungry.  She loved spending time with her family and grandchildren and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Family and friends may visit on Thursday, October 21, 2021 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney.  Funeral service will be held on Friday, October 22, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Jerry Siler officiating. Burial will follow at Shelby Memory Gardens, Sidney.
