James (Jimmy) D. Phelps

James (Jimmy) D. Phelps, age 65, of Sidney, passed away Thursday, December 18, 2025, at Wilson Health Hospital.  He was born October 8, 1960, in Sidney, to the late Jack Phelps and Patsy (Scott) Phelps, who survives in Sidney.

James is survived by his wife, Debbie ( Roe) Phelps, son, Jimmy Phelps Jr. and brother, Dave Phelps of Sidney, step-children; Chad (Angela) Tipps and Brandon (Stacy) Tipps of Piqua, also multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Phelps and daughter, Tiffany Phelps.

James was of the Baptist faith and a truck driver for many years. He loved auto racing, especially NASCAR.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date at the discretion of the family, that will be private.
