James F Courts

James F. Courts, age 55, of Sidney, passed away Monday, March 23, 2026, at the Dayton VA Medical Center. 

He was raised in Southwest Texas where he grew up studying and learning about the word of God. James grew up in the ministry and learned about the importance of serving the Lord, before joining the Army.  After his military service he continued to serve the Lord and was in the ministry for thirty years, including as a Missionary and Pastor.

James was a devoted husband of 29 years to Charity and loving father to Aaron, Alexander, and Samantha, who dearly miss him and the life lessons he imparted to them.

He took great pride in being a parent, especially the teaching of the word of God, and never stopped teaching the importance of serving the Lord.

James is survived by Charity Courts, Aaron Courts, Alexander Courts, Samantha Courts, David Courts (Brother) and Armenda Boteler (Sister).

A short graveside service will be held at the Dayton VA cemetery on Thursday,

March 26, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. with a full military service.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney, Ohio.
