Jackie "Jack" L. Knief

Jackie “Jack” L. Knief, age 80, of Sidney, passed away peacefully Monday, August 19, 2024, at Wilson Health Hospital, Sidney.  He was born September 16, 1943, in Maplewood, Ohio, to the late Marion Knief and Hanna (Howell) Knief.

Left to cherish his memory is children; James (Marilyn) Knief, Scot Knief, three grandchildren; Jeffrey Knief, Allen Knief, and Vader Philip Knief, sisters, Phyllis Morrow and Alice Markey of Texas.

He was preceded in death by his wife Addie R. Knief on August 30, 2019, son Phillip Knief, sister Carolyn Knief and brother Marion Knief.

Jack had been employed for thirty plus years at Stolle Corporation and retired from Walmart.  He was of the Christian faith and served in the US Army.  He enjoyed watching TV, hunting and spending time with his family.

Family and friends may visit on Monday, August 26, 2024, from 9 – 11:00 a.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney.  Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Bill Morrow officiating. Burial will follow at Rea Cemetery. Full military honors will be performed by the Shelby County Veterans and the US Army.
