JACK D. HUBER, age 80, of Sidney passed away on Monday, February 22, 2021 at Ohio Living Dorothy Love in Sidney. He was born on October 7, 1940 in Urbana to the late William L. and Betty L. (Rouse) Huber.
Jack is survived by his wife: Candy (Wolaver) Huber; children: Jason (Kylie) Huber of Jackson Center, Jennifer Huber of Jacksonville, NC, Jerome Huber of Jackson Center, Shelley (Troy) Smedley of Sidney, Tracy (significant other: Keith Shearer) Burdiss and Marc (Kristie) Burdiss of Sidney; special family: Kevin and Teresa Wendel of St. Marys; grandchildren: Jasmine (fiancé, Matt Vowell) Huber, Isiah Huber, Morgan Huber, Trever Huber, Mary (Tyler) Armstrong, Sarah (Dillon) Lininger, Robert (significant other – Julia Bogart) Brun, Hunter Smedley, Victoria (Nathan) Bemus, Tanner Smedley, Chloe Littleton, Alyssa (significant other – Nathan Napier) Littleton, Alex Burdiss, Erin Burdiss, Elizabeth Smedley, Catherine Smedley; great grandchildren: Stella Vowell, Sterling Jack Vowell, Adelynn Lininger, Izzy Bogart-Brun and Brody Napier; sister: Janet Poppe of Anna; and many nieces and nephews.
Jack was a member of Solid Rock Pentecostal Church in Sidney. He enjoyed going with the pastor to visit people at home, in the hospital and in nursing homes. Jack loved to spoil little children. Jack proudly served his country as a member of the US Air Force. He was an avid University of Tennessee and Indianapolis Colts fan.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, February 26, 2021 at Solid Rock Pentecostal Church in Sidney with Pastor Rodney Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Union Cemetery in DeGraff. Family will receive friends from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM on Friday at the church.
