Howard Leon Branscum

Howard Leon Branscum, age 72, of Sidney, passed away on Sunday, December 24, 2023, at his residence.  He was born on July 18, 1951, in New Castle, IN, to the late James and Iva (Lee) Branscum.  On December 2, 1970, he married Donna (Thomas) Branscum and she survives.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children: Lesley (Jon) Price, Jamie (girlfriend, Leesa Moore) Branscum and Tyler (girlfriend, Krista Johnson) Branscum, all of Sidney; siblings: Jim (Carol) Branscum of Bronston, KY, Jerry Branscum of Sidney, OH and Rick Branscum of New Castle, IN.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister and two brothers.

Howard proudly served his country as a member of the US Army.  He enjoyed fishing, gardening and racing.  Above all else, he loved spending time with his family and friends.  Howard was a member of the Sidney F.O.E. 1403.  He was of the Christian faith.  He was formerly employed at Wappo Wood Products in Sidney.  Howard never met a stranger.

Graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, December 29, 2023, at Cedar Point Cemetery in Pasco with Pastor Mark Strunk officiating.  Full military honors will be presented by the US Army and the Shelby County Veterans.
