Herbert H. Burton

Herbert H. Burton, age 82, of Sidney, passed away peacefully June 22, 2025, at his residence, surrounded by his family. He was born December 21, 1942, in Somerset, Kentucky to Millard Burton and Vivian (Woods) Burton.

Herbert is survived by his wife of over 40 years, Tammy (Zachrich) Burton, children: Mark, Monte (Loretta), Garth, Nathan, Joshua, Rachel, Latasha, Justin, Luke, Heather Burton, and twenty-eight grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by children Julie and Wade Cotterman, daughter-in-law Robin Burton(late wife of Garth Burton) sister Shirley Osborne and brother-in-law Donald Osborne, Janice Johnson and brother-in-law James Johnson.

Herbert was retired from Local Labor Union 329 in Lima, after 44 years of faithful service. He was a member of the Only Believe Ministries in Botkins and retired Pastor of the Word of Life Ministries in Sidney.  He loved Jesus Christ and loved to spread the word of God. He enjoyed attending farmers markets, garage sales, the Senior Center, health and exercise.  He loved spending time with his family and friends.

Family and friends may visit on Thursday, June 26, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until

1:00 p.m. at the Only Believe Ministries, 13815 Botkins Road, Botkins, Ohio.  Funeral service will commence at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Kylan Booser officiating. Following the service, he will be laid to rest at Cedar Point Cemetery in Pasco.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Meaningful Life Ministries in Sidney, in Herbert’s memory.
