Hazel (Ruthaford) Lapoint

Hazel LaPoint, age 75, of Sidney, passed away Sunday, January 7, 2024, at Ohio Hospice of Dayton.  She was born July 31, 1948, in Lafollette, TN., to the late Aaron Ruthaford and Mossie (Meadors) Ruthaford.

Her husband, Ronald LaPoint, preceded her in death November 16, 2017. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one sister.

She is survived by daughters; Teresa (Denny) Baker and Rochelle (Keith) Bailey of Sidney, eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren and sister, Wanda Huddleston of Anna.

Hazel attended the Calvary Baptist Church and was employed as a Beautician - Cosmetologist for many years in Sidney. She enjoyed reading, shopping and going out to dinner at Olive Garden and Frisch’s.  She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and friends.

Family and friends may visit on Thursday, January 11, 2024, from 4 – 6 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney.  Service will be held at 6:00 p.m. with Pastor Dave Shepherd officiating.
