Harry L. Hand

Harry L. Hand, age 84, of Sidney, passed away on Friday, November 3, 2023, at his residence.  He was born in Sidney on September 28, 1939, to the late Bernard and Willa (Dilbone) Hand.

Harry is survived by his wife: Betty Sue (Harrod) Hand; four children: Kelly (Dave) Wion of Greenville and Michele (Don) Mumford, Michael Hand and Angela (Tom) Martin, all of Sidney; siblings: David (Judy) Hand of Lakeview, Mark (Paula) Hand of Troy, Saundra (Brian) Truax of WV, Mary Lou Hand of Sidney and Susan (Gene) Adkins of Sidney; 11 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; mother of his children: Charlene (Gillespie) Echols of Sidney; and good companion, his dog: Hank.

Harry attended Broadway Church of Christ in Sidney.  He proudly served his country as a member of the US Army.  Harry enjoyed hunting, fishing, mushroom hunting, reading his Bible and spending time with his family.  He was a member of Shelby County Deer Hunters and Shelby County Bass Masters.

Funeral service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at Broadway Church of Christ with Evangelist Brent Wright officiating.  Burial will follow in Plattsville Cemetery with full military honors presented by Shelby County Veteran’s Association and the US Army.  Family will receive friends from 10:00 AM-12:00 Noon on Wednesday at the church.
