Gretchen Henry

Gretchen V. Henry, age 75, of Sidney, passed away on Saturday, December 23, 2023, at Springfield Regional Medical Center in Springfield.  She was born on April 18, 1948, in Urbana, to the late Carl and Florence (Evilsizor) Laughlin.  One April 27, 1968, she married Richard Henry and he preceded her in death on April 16, 2020.

Gretchen is survived by children: Shawn and Jill Henry of Houston, and Derrick and Stacey King of Sideny; seven grandchildren: Shayna, Daniel, Justin, Rachel, Marissa, Anna and Ella; two great grandchildren: Jasper and Jameson; and one sister: Robin Laughlin of Sidney.  In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one sister: Patricia Laughlin.

Gretchen was a 1966 graduate of Anna High School.  She was a retired correction officer for the State of Ohio.  Gretchen was of the Christian faith.  She enjoyed crocheting, spending time with her dog, Bear, eating out, shopping and watching birds.  Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, December 28, 2023, at Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney, with Pastor Joshua Morgan officiating.  Burial will follow in Cedar Point Cemetery in Pasco.  Family will receive friends from 11:30 AM-1:00 PM on Thursday at the funeral home.
