Glenice C. Lenhart

Glenice C. Lenhart, age 80, of Sidney, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, October 28, 2023, at her residence.  She was born on March 29, 1943, in Columbus, OH, to the late Everett Lee and Clarissa (Hicks) Ooten.  She grew up in Oneida, TN.  In 1993, she married Thomas J. In addition to her husband, Glenice is survived by children: Bonnie and Randy Mekelburg of Ft. Loramie, OH; Mike and Cindy Koenig of Conover, OH, George and Terri Cecere of Centerville, OH, Mark and Jenny Lenhart of Botkins and Tom and Ami Lenhart, Jr. of Sidney, OH; siblings: Gary and Ann Ooten, Janis Mouk, Ann Carr and Linda King, all of Oneida, TN; 18 grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sons: Michael R. Ledford, James Chambers and Jay Lenhart; three brothers and three sisters.

Glenice was very active with the Special Olympics.  She also volunteered at Sidney-Shelby County Senior Center and Sidney American Legion Post 217.  Glenice enjoyed playing bingo, reading and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She was of the Christian faith.  Glenice retired from Ross Aluminum/RCI after many years.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney, OH, with Chaplain Randy Reed officiating.  Burial will follow in Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Botkins.  Family will receive friends from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home.
