Garrith F. "Gary" Martz

Garrith F. “Gary” Martz, age 82, of Sidney, passed away June 13, 2023, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.  He was born November 20, 1940, in Sidney, to the late Urban Martz and Geraldine (Wolfe) Martz.

He married the love of his life, Glendith June (Nation) Martz on March 22, 1962, and she preceded him in death on June 14. 2019.

Gary is survived by children: Rick (Sonya) Martz of Delaware, Ohio, Lisa Hughes of Sidney, grandchildren: LaToya Kimbro, Nathan (Franka) Hughes, Rashel (Chris) Schoenman, Dustin (Amber) Hughes, great grandchildren: Ryleigh Hughes, Ella Schoenman, Kelseigh Hughes and brother: Randy (Mary) Martz of Lockington.

Gary was a member of the Holy Angels Catholic Church in Sidney.  He was employed as a shipping clerk at Copeland Corporation, in Sidney, for 30 years.  He was an avid sports fan, listening and watching the Cincinnati Reds and Bengals. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, June 16, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. at the Cedar Point Cemetery in Pasco with Deacon Philip Myers officiating.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Wilson Hospice in Gary’s memory.

All arrangements have been entrusted to the Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney.
