On the beautiful spring day of April 22, 1983, she married Philip Heitz in Tawawa Park, Sidney, OH, beside the covered bridge. He survives. She is also survived by her son: Scott Jaques of Sidney; daughter: Laura Cambe of Newark, OH; two grandchildren: Dustin Cambe (recently deceased); granddaughter: Amanda Cambe, currently living in Idaho; and two great grandchildren: Colton Cambe and Coraline Cambe. Elaine will be remembered for her signature smile and friendly demeanor. Her spirit, optimism and determination, along with her honesty and integrity, will live within all who knew her. She worked at Copeland Corporation before moving to Illinois in 1990. There she resumed doing office work. Upon moving to Hidden Valley Lake, a privately owned community in Dearborn County, IN, in 2008, she retired and spent the rest of her life enjoying the simple pleasures of life, including sitting on her deck or in her recliner gazing at the colorful flowers on the deck and watching the birds and other wildlife outside the window. She was a member of Greenview United Church of Christ at Plattsville, OH.
Funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney, OH, with Rev. Larry Grunden officiating.
