Frederick M. Jacobs

Fred M. Jacobs, age 76, of Sidney, passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2024, at Ohio’s Hospice of Miami County in Troy.  He was born on May 16, 1947 in Sidney to the late Milton and Christine (Post) Jacobs.  On August 23, 1974, he married Jill E. (Weiskittle) Jacobs and she preceded him in death on January 7, 2020.

Fred is survived by children: Rachelle (Phil) VanWinkle of North Carolina, Sara (Mike) Bodenmiller of Sidney, Mary (John) Ward of Sidney and Andy (Carissa) Jacobs of Michigan; grandchildren: Kayla (Rodney) Huston, Conner (Kelsey) Bodenmiller, Christine (Joe) Ehrisman, Jake Ward, Charlie VanWinkle, Adrianna Jacobs and Anson Jacobs; great grandchildren: Jackson, Emmit, Ella Huston, Molly and Owen Ehrisman and Weston and Harper Bodenmiller; and brothers: Bill Jacobs and Joe Frilling.  In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by sisters: Kathy Frilling and Rita Belt.

Fred was a 1966 graduate of Sidney High School.  He retired from Alcoa after 40 years.  He was an avid fan of Ohio State, Cincinnati Bengals and Minnesota Vikings.  Fred liked to spend time listening to music and fishing.  Fred truly enjoyed his weekly breakfast with his brothers, Bill, Joe, Hank and Donnie.  Above all, he loved spending time with his family.

Family will receive guests on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, from 9:00-11:00 AM at Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney, OH.  Services will be held at immediately following.  Interment will follow at Shelby Memory Gardens, Sidney.
