Ellen Yinger

Ellen Kay Yinger, age 74, of Sidney, passed away on Monday, October 23, 2023, at her residence.  She was born on January 31, 1949, in Piqua, to the late Harold and Rita (Kaiser) McGreevy.  On February 7, 1981, she married Gary Yinger and he survives.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by children: Eric and Michelle Simon of Dayton, Jodi and Joshua Ponciano of Clayton, Traci Rossiter of Sidney, and Stefani Yinger of Sidney; eight grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; brother: Neil (Cheryl) McGreevy of Newport, and foster sister Clarette (Dennis) McCain of Waynesville.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers Patrick McGreevy, Wayne McGreevy, William Fabian, and one sister Yvonne McGreevy.

Ellen worked for Stanley Home Automation in Covington and later with her sister Yvonne at Piqua Industrial Cut & Sew.  Ellen enjoyed gardening, cooking, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She attended St. Boniface Catholic Church in Piqua and Holy Angels Catholic Church in Sidney.

Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 27, 2023, at Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney, with Deacon Philip Myers as Celebrant.  Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery in Sidney.  Family will receive friends from 9:00-11:00 AM on Friday at the funeral home.
