Edward Franklin Gold

Edward Franklin Gold, age 71, of Sidney, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 7, 2022, at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton.  He was born on May 12, 1951, in Sidney to the late Joseph and Rosemary (Mauer) Gold.  On August 10, 1985, he married Carol “Sue” (Ross) Gold and she survives.

In addition to his wife, Edward is survived by one son: Matt (Angela) Gold of Sidney; one daughter-in-law: Sally Gold of Sidney; one brother: Bill (Ruth) Gold of Marysville, TN; two sisters: Diana (Roger) Drummond and Patty (Mike) Kelly, both of Sidney; twelve grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Edward was preceded in death by one son: Mark Gold; and one brother: Bob Gold.

Edward was a member of Connection Point Church in Sidney, where he was a part of the men’ group, doing fund raisers, and Living Hope Fellowship.  He retired from Coca Cola.  Edward enjoyed the outdoors, fishing NASCAR racing and traveling with his wife.  He was known for his sense of humor and loved spending time with his family and friends.

Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, July 16, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Connection Point Church, 1510 Campbell Rd., Sidney, Ohio.  Arrangements are being handled by Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney, OH.
