Edgar A. "Eddie" Hernandez

Edgar A. “Eddie” Hernandez, age 48, of Grand Rapids, MI, formerly of Sidney and St. Marys, passed away on Monday, March 31, 2025, at Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids, MI.  He was born on February 5, 1977, in Mexico City, Mexico, to Angela (Gonzales) Hernandez and the late Daniel Hernandez.  On January 31, 2015, he married Patricia (Karns) Hernandez and she survives.

In addition to his wife and mother, Eddie is survived by five children: Parker Hernandez, Vivian Hernandez, Ezra Hernandez, Evelyn Hernandez and Jonah Hernandez; three siblings: Marco (Jennifer) Hernandez of Colorado Springs, CO, Daniela (Jerry) Tangeman of Sidney, OH and Hector (Jetta) Hernandez of St. Marys, OH; father-in-law: Jeff (Cindy) Karns of Wayne, OH; mother-in-law: Dawn (Perry) Hamman of Wayne, OH; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Eddie was a 1995 graduate of St. Marys High School.  He was also a graduate of The Ohio State University with a degree in Biology.  Eddie was employed by Profile Films in Grand Rapids, MI.  He loved coaching his children and trading sports cards.  Eddie was a fan of Ohio State Buckeyes football, Pittsburgh Steelers football and Los Angeles Dodgers baseball.  He played guitar in the band “Dead Happy Face”.  Eddie was a devoted family man and loved spending time with his family and friends.

Celebration of Life will be held from 1:00-4:00 PM on Sunday, April 6, 2025, at Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney, OH 45365.  Memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM at the funeral home.
