Earl D Byrd Jr.

Earl D. Byrd Jr., age 75, of Dayton, formerly of Sidney, passed away Friday, December 5, 2025, at Dayton Springfield Emergency Room.  He was born March 13, 1950, in Sidney, Ohio, to the late Earl D. Byrd Sr., and Elna (Wilson) Byrd.

Earl is survived by siblings; Janice Jones of Drasco, Arkansas, Sandra Michael of Mecosta, Michigan, Kathy Hormann, Larry (Joan) Metz, William (Cheryl) Byrd, Mark (Betty) Byrd, all of Sidney, sister-in-law, Maxine Byrd and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by brothers, Donald and Stanley Byrd, sister, Linda Byrd and special friend, Richard Treon.

Earl was of the Christian faith and a 1969 graduate of Sidney High School.  He was a hairdresser for over fifty years.  He enjoyed gardening, painting, decorating and entertaining his extended family and friends.

Family and friends may visit on Friday, December12, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney.  Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. with burial to follow at Beechwood Cemetery in Lockington.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in Earl’s memory.
