Dorothy R. Braun

Dorothy R. Braun, age 87, of Houston, passed away peacefully at Lima Memorial Hospital on Friday, October 11, 2024 surrounded by her family.  She was born on November 4, 1936, in St. Marys, OH, to the late Christ and Julianna (Behr) Doseck.  On June 21, 1959, she married Gilbert E. Braun and he survives.

In addition to her husband, Dorothy is survived by children: Dale (Cindy) Braun of Bradford, Karen (Tony) Smith of Sidney, Kim (Mark) Oen of St. Marys and Steve (Rhonica) Braun of Houston; eleven grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; and siblings: Wilbur (Linda) Doseck of Wapakoneta, Mike (Karla) Doseck of Botkins and Fred Doseck of FL; sister: Mary Cartwright of Sidney; sister-in-law: Agnes Doseck, Lucille Hoying, Mary Ann (Gary) Jarrell and Mary Alice Sanders; brothers-in-law: Arnold (Carol) Braun and Shorty Steinke; and many nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers.

Dorothy was a member of Holy Angeles Catholic Church in Sidney.  She retired from Copeland Corporation.  Dorothy enjoyed playing games on her computer, playing on her iPad, most of all, doing puzzles with her grandchildren.  She was dedicated to her entire family and she was a hard worker.  Dorothy never missed sending out birthday cards to her family.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, October 21, 2024, at Holy Angels Catholic Church in Sidney.  Burial will follow in Shelby Memory Gardens in Sidney.  Family will receive friends from 1:00-4:00 PM on Sunday, October 20, 2024, at Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney.
