Dennis R. Brown

Dennis R. Brown, age 81, of Jackson Center, passed away Sunday, April 13, 2025, at Wilson Hospital, Sidney.  He was born August 17, 1943, in Shelby County, Ohio, to the late Cecil Brown and Geraldine (Bodenmiller) Brown.

He married Shirley (Leiss) Brown on June 23, 1963, and she survives.

Also surviving is daughter Deb (Mary) Brown of Dayton, son Mike (Catherine) Brown of Jackson Center, grandchildren; Landon, Tyler, Travis, Brandon, Justin, ten great grandchildren and sister Shirley Miller of Jackson Center.

Dennis was preceded in death by great grandson Tyler Cecil Brown Jr., brother Jim Brown, sister-in-law Barb Brown and brother-in-law Gerald Miller.

Dennis was retired from the Shelby County Sheriff Department after twenty-seven years of faithful service and also worked at Airstream Corporation in Jackson Center. He was a 1961 graduate of Jackson Center High School and of the Lutheran faith. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Port Jefferson.

Dennis enjoyed riding his horses and golf cart and doing woodworking in his spare time. He loved spending time with his family, grandkids and friends.

Family and friends may call on Friday, April 18, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney.  Service will commence at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Dave Klopfenstein officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Point Cemetery in Pasco.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Wilson Hospice in Dennis’s memory.
