David L. Kessler, a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend, passed away tragically in a car accident on December 17, 2024, in his hometown of Sidney, Ohio. Born on February 22, 1980, David lived a life full of love, laughter, and passion, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew him.
David was the cherished son of Donna Hammons-Goode and Dave Kessler. He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Donna, as well as his grandparents, Norman and Phyllis Goode, and aunts Lisa and Gayla Goode. His absence is profoundly felt by his loving wife, Brandi Kessler (Schriml), whom he married on February 24, 2023. They shared nearly two wonderful years of marriage, filled with friendship and partnership that blossomed over the course of their three years together. He raised his three beautiful children: Neuella, Kian, and Ryker, who were the light of his life, with the help of his wife and the children mother's.
In addition to his immediate family, David is survived by his father, Dave Kessler, and his siblings, Karen Spain (Kessler), Matthew Kessler and Matt Williams. His loving family was a source of joy and inspiration for him, and he took immense pride in being a dedicated husband and father.
David's professional life was spent at Aunt Millies Bakery, where he worked diligently as a Mixer Operator. His hard work and commitment were evident in every loaf he helped create, reflecting his goal-driven nature and dedication to excellence.
David was a man of many passions. He was an avid sports enthusiast, fervently supporting the Cincinnati Bengals and the Kentucky Wildcats. His love for Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) extended beyond mere fandom; he actively practiced and imparted the skills he learned to his children, fostering their own interests and abilities. David’s warm-hearted spirit and free-spirited nature made him a joy to be around, and his charm and humor could light up any room.
Those who knew David remember him as a caring, kind, intelligent, and hardworking individual. He was driven not only by his goals but also by a genuine desire to uplift those around him, embodying the qualities of a wonderful father and husband. His legacy revolves around the love he shared with his family and friends, leaving behind a treasure trove of beautiful memories.
A private funeral service will be held for David, respecting his family's wishes during this difficult time. To honor his memory, a Celebration of Life will be scheduled for a later date after the holidays, providing friends and loved ones an opportunity to come together and share stories, laughter, and love in remembrance of a remarkable man.
