David Lewis Schaffer

David Lewis Schaffer, 79, went to be with the Lord on January 14, 2025, at Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy, surrounded by his family. 

He was born November 25th, 1945, in Sidney, Ohio.

He served his country in the U.S. Coast Guard. David was a business entrepreneur for many years. He enjoyed traveling, spending time with his family, and the companionship of his fur baby Peanut. 

He married the love of his life, Karen Schaffer (Clayton). He is also survived by his children, Wade Schaffer, Kevin Schaffer, Brian (Tina) Schaffer, Mark (Mindy) Schaffer, Trent (Christina) Schaffer. He is also survived by 21 Grandchildren and 36 Great Grandchildren. Also, David is survived by brother Roger Don (Genie) Schaffer. David is survived by special family friends Carol, Audrey, and Karen.

David was born to the late Lewis and Hazel Schaffer. He is preceded in death by Wayne and Elizabeth Clayton and special family friend Bob Fissel.

David was a born again Christian and attended Only Believe Ministries in Botkins, Ohio, for over 20 years.

The family will hold a Memorial Service at a later date for family and close friends.
