Darla Kay (Browning) Koontz

Darla Kay Koontz, age 57, of Sidney, passed away Wednesday, February 18, 2026. She was born July 25, 1968, in Sidney, to Dixie J. Browning Koontz and James Koontz.

Darla is survived by significant other, John Castle, children; Robby Foss, Donna Foss, David Foss, Sherilyn Foss, Kevin Foss, siblings; Yalonda Combs(Darren), James Koontz (Tacie) Shennon Koontz (Angel), Jerilynn Koontz, Tammy Koontz, Ramona Koontz, and Nicole Koontz.

Darla was a homemaker who enjoyed painting, coloring, and cross-stitching.  She was known for her directness (“she would tell you how it was”) and her unique way of saying (“good morning”) and (“I love you”). She loved spending time with family and friends and her cats and dogs, Lily and Sassy.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date at the discretion of the family.
