Darin Vaughn

Darin “ Shane” Vaughn, age 54 of Sidney passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on Saturday September 11th 2021. Shane was born December 1st, 1966 to Phyliss (Ramsey) Vaughn and Ronald Vaughn, both proceeded him in death. Shane married Sandy (Riley) Vaughn who survives. Shane and Sandy have a daughter, Melanie Vaughn of Ada and stepdaughter Timberlee Riley.

Shane lived in Indiana for 15 years and recently returned home (Sidney) to be with his daughter and siblings. Shane was employed at Petro (Indiana) until he returning to Sidney. Shane is survived by his sisters Rhonda Vaughn (Jim)Piatt of Anna Ohio, Lema Wright (Calvin) Englewood, Ohio Tony (Tammy) Vaughn of Sidney, David Vaughn also of Sidney. Shane also was blessed with step siblings, Becky  (Jerry)Thomas Everett Washington, Kathleen (Doug) Spain Troy Ohio, Julie (Todd) Deeters Versailles Ohio, Andy ( Sarah) Pequignot, Barry Texas, John (Vicki) Pequignot, Aurora Illinois. Shane had many nieces and nephews along with many aunts and uncles, cousins.

Shane was a gentle soul, nothing ever seemed to upset him even in his final days. Shane loved his daughter Melanie and family and always wore a smile. Anyone who had the privilege to meet him knew of this gentle, loving man.

The family will have a celebration of life to honor Shane at a later date. Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Rd. Sidney, has been entrusted with all funeral arrangements.
