Danny Ray Brown

Danny Ray Brown, 86, passed away on Thursday, September 21, 2023, at Shelby Skilled Nursing in Sidney.  He was born on August 19, 1937, in Whitesburg, Kentucky, to Sylvan and Edna (Fields) Brown.

On February 10, 2007, he married Alice (Baird) Brown who survives. Danny had four children, Danny (Kathy) Brown Jr., of Sidney, Linda (Neal) Marchal of Ft. Loramie, Kristi (Shane) Stewart of Piqua, Michael (Casey) Brown of Botkins.  Danny also had four step children; Edward (Vicky) Baird of Sidney, Lisa (Mike) Fullenkamp of Botkins, Mark Baird of Sidney and Dawn Baird of Colorado, and one sister, Becky Wilson of Sidney.

Danny was a U.S. Navy veteran and served from 1954 – 1958 including tours on the U.S.S. Porterfield and the U.S.S. Evans.  He was a member of the American Legion and a lifetime member of the V.F.W.

Danny retired from Everyday Manufacturing in Sidney. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Sidney.

Family and friends may visit on Tuesday, September 26, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney.  Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor John Young officiating.  Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery with full military honors performed by the U.S. Navy and the Shelby County Veterans.
