Dale K. Riggs

Dale K. Riggs, age 78, of Sidney, passed away on Thursday, August 19, 2021, at his residence.  He was born on October 31, 1942 in Portsmouth, OH, to the late Champ Clark and Geneva (Young) Riggs.  On February 20, 1965, he married Marietta (Bauer) Riggs and she survives.

In addition to his wife, Dale is survived by two children: Babette (Eric) Cade of Lytle, TX and Colleen (Elden) Eidemiller of Tipp City, OH; grandchildren: Sydney, Grace, Charlie, Kirstin and Courtney; great grandchildren: Conner and Kylin; and sister: Donna Palmer of Talbot, TN.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter: Mary Jean Riggs.

Dale attended Hardin United Methodist Church.  He was employed for 31 years at United Telephone Company.  Dale proudly served his country as a member on the US Army during the Vietnam War.  He enjoyed working on Model A Cars and old tractors.  He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM on Monday, August 30, 2021 at Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney, OH with Pastor Andy Warren officiating.  Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery in St. Paris, OH, with full military honors provided by the US Army and Shelby County Veterans Honor Guard.  Family will receive friends from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM on Monday, August 30, 2021 at the funeral home.
