Cynthia D. Gibson

Cynthia D. Gibson, age 63, of Sidney, passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2023, at Wilson Health Emergency Room in Sidney.  She was born on April 19, 1959, in Torrance, CA, to the late Fred and Nettie (Bennett) Johnson.  On January 8, 1990, she married Junior Gibson and he preceded her in death on December 2, 2021.

Cynthia is survived by two children: Misty Johnson and Viva (Charles White III) Johnson, both of Sidney; four step-children: Ricky (DeDe) Gibson of Sidney, Roger Gibson of Sidney, Tina Gibson of Corbin, KY and Gina Barnett of Corbin, KY; five grandchildren: Andrew “AJ” Snyder, Autumne Johnson, Chaise Johnson, Lillyaunna Moton, Jocelyn White and Brooklynn White; seven step-grandchildren: Natalie Gibson, Roger Gibson, Jr., Matthew Barnett, Brittany Estes, Jessica Ponder, Makali Gibson and Jerika Epperson; four siblings: Judy (Joe) Shoemaker, Debora (David) Smedley, Sylvania (William) Ludwig and Fred Johnson, Jr., all of Sidney; and eleven great grandchildren.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son: Travis Waldroop; and two sisters: Viva Yvonne Hughes and Marlinda Wilson.

Cynthia was of the Christian faith.  She enjoyed camping, puzzles, playing cards and games and Baby Yoda.  Most of all, Cynthia loved spending time with her family.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney, OH.  Burial will be in Cedar Point Cemetery in Pasco.  Family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home.
