Clara L. Owens

CLARA L. OWENS, age 78, of Sidney, passed away on Tuesday, June 29, 2021, at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton.  She was born on March 2, 1943, in Carysville, OH to the late Clarence and Gladys (Wallace) Brandyberry.  On December 28, 1991, she married Houston Owens and he survives.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons: Rusty Gates and Randy Gates, both of Sidney; siblings: Jerry Brandyberry of Carysville, OH and Charles (Kelly) Hicks of Tallahassee, FL; two grandchildren; and five great grandchildren; Damien, Reese, Avery, Mason and Ariana.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister.

Clara retired from Copeland Corporation in 1975.  She was of the Lutheran faith.  Clara loved spending time with her family.

Celebration of Life will be held on July 24, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home..
