Charles J. Wilburn

Charles J. Wilburn, age 84, of Sidney, passed away peacefully October 1, 2023, at Fair Haven Nursing Home in Sidney.  He was born September 2, 1939, in Habersham, TN. to the late Charles Wilburn and Leatha (Raidner) Wilburn.

On December 18, 1961, he married Ruby (Strunk) Wilburn, she preceded him in death September 17, 2020. He was also preceded in death by son; Charles Anthony Wilburn, four sisters and two brothers.

Charles is survived by children: Walter Keith of Anna, Patricia (Stanley) Dickey of Lebanon, TN., Wilma (Martin) Merricle of Sidney and Glenda (Michael) Fagan of Sidney, Lonnie (Lisa) Worling of Sidney, 21 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren, brothers; Marshal Wilburn and Larry (Cass) Wilburn of Sidney.

Charles was a member of the Solid Rock Pentecostal Church in Sidney He retired from Butler Asphalt Company where he was a heavy equipment operator.  He enjoyed gardening, fishing and hunting. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, family and many friends.

Family and friends may visit on Thursday, October 5, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Solid Rock Pentecostal Church, 2745 St. Rt. 29 N., Sidney, Ohio. Funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. at the church with Pastor Rodney Reynolds officiating.  Burial will follow at Shelby Memory Garden in Sidney.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Solid Rock Pentecostal Church, 2745 St. Rt. 29N, Sidney, Ohio, in Charles’ memory.
