Charles D. Coy

Charles D. Coy, age 77, of Sidney, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at OSU Wexner Medical Center, Columbus.

Charles was born October 4, 1943 in Dayton, Ohio, to the late Donald Coy and Dorris (Fawns) Coy.

He is survived by children; David (Susan) Coy of Sidney, Deborah (Michael) Reck of Sidney, Daniel (Susan) Coy of Sidney, Dianah (Roger) Morrow of Sidney, Jevon Coy of Ocala, Florida, fourteen grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and brother, Keith (Kathy) Coy of Sidney, and his beloved dog, Boomer.  

Charles was a member of the Trinity Church of the Brethren in Sidney.  He was very active within the church, serving as Deacon and on the Board of the church for many years. He retired from Formed Fiber Technologies Company in Sidney after many years of faithful service.  He was an over the road truck driver and a cab driver in his early years. Charles was an avid sports fan, especially Ohio State Basketball, Dayton Flyers and Cincinnati Reds. He loved to help on the farm and enjoyed spending his time there.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, March 12, 2021at 11:00 a.m. at the Trinity Church of the Brethren, 2220 N. Main Avenue, Sidney, with Pastor Arnold Colett, officiating.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Trinity Church of the Brethren in Charles’ memory.
