Carol Shaffer

Carol Loretta Shaffer, age 77, of Sidney, passed away on Saturday, July 29, 2023, at Hospice of Miami County in Troy.  She was born on November 18, 1945, in Sidney to the late Leo and Lizzie (Hughes) Blevins.

Carol is survived by three children: James Shaffer, Jr. of Huber Heights, Dina (Todd) McKee of Sidney, and April (Katlin) Clay of Ft. Pierce, FL; grandchildren: Aaron, Jacob, Kayleigh, Josh, Damian, Xavier, Korin and Lizzie; and great grandchildren: Ellawnyn, Waverly, Avaleigh, Ezra, Ariana, Jonah and Lola.

Carol was former owner of Turtle Creek Camp Grounds, Chevy and Vesta House.  She was of the Christian faith.  Carol was the oldest of 8 children.  She enjoyed raising chickens, shopping for her family and gardening.  Carol was a member of the VFW Auxiliary, Eagles Auxiliary and Elks Auxiliary.  She was also a snow bird, spending half her time in Sidney and half her time in Pt. Pierce, FL. 

Celebration of Life will be held at 4:00 PM on Friday, August 4, 2023, at Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney, OH.  Family will receive friends from 3:00-4:00 PM on Friday at the funeral home.
