Caritina Parra Munoz Romaker

Caritina Parra Muñoz Romaker, age 75, of Sidney, passed away on Monday, February 6, 2023, at Ohio’s Hospice of Miami County in Troy.  She was born on October 5, 1947, in Tlalixcoyan, Veracruz, Mexico to the late Sofia Muñoz Zamudio and Roberto Parra Martinez.  On July 8, 1978, Caritina married David James Romaker and he survives.

In addition to her husband, Cartina is survived by three children: Stephanie (Ryan) Sollmann of Sidney, Heather (Adam) Huggins of Vandalia and Nick Romaker of Sidney; four grandchildren: Sophie Sollmann, Emma Sollmann, Zoe Huggins and Everett Huggins; siblings: Bertha Muñoz, Florentino Hernandez Muñoz, Anastacio Hernandez Muñoz, Aida Muñoz, Herlinda Prieto Muñoz, Reyes Prieto Muñoz and Flora Prieto Muñoz; and many nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five siblings.

Caritina was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church.  She was a homemaker and mother.  Caritina loved spending time with her grandchildren.  She also enjoyed cooking, gardening and sewing.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, February 13, 2023 at 10:30 A.M. at Holy Angels Catholic Church with Father Steve Mondiek officiating. Interment at Graceland Cemetery.
