Betty L. (Alexander) Whitmore

Betty L. Whitmore, age 80, of Sidney, passed away January 13, 2022 at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Minster.

She was born May 31, 1941, in Sidney, the daughter of the late Robert Alexander and Virginia (Allen) Alexander. On July 7, 1962, she married Richard Whitmore and he preceded her in death September 5, 2005.

She is survived by daughters; Pamela (Henry) Wolaver of Maplewood, Candy (Jerry) Riggs of Duncan, Oklahoma, sons; Ricky and Richard Whitmore of Sidney, six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren. Also surviving are brothers; Robert (Jimmy) Alexander of Florida, Ronald Alexander of Sidney and sister, Ida (Don) Bodiker of Beaufort, South Carolina.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Richard, and sister, Mary Bornhorst.

Betty was a very loving homemaker and mother who loved spending time with her family and friends.  She enjoyed playing bingo, puzzles, puzzle books, reading and bird watching.

Family and friends may visit on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery.
