Betty Slifer, 62, passed away on February 1,2026. She was born February 18, 1963, in Point Pleasant, West Virginia.
Betty was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Family meant everything to her, and her love showed up in countless ways—through laughter, honesty, resilience, and the deep pride she held for those she loved.
She is survived by her children: Donald Slifer Jr. (Katherine) of Morehead, KY; Egbert Stewart of Sidney, OH; Alfreda Slifer (Norman) of South Shore, KY and Shane Slifer (Leigh Ann) of Greenup, KY.
She leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Alan Sidders, Devin (Jessy) Slifer, Wyatt (Joshia) Slifer, Cheyenne (Hayden) Stewart, Shelby Stewart, Jasmine Slifer, Gunner Slifer, and Addisyn Slifer, who were a constant source of joy and pride in her life.
Betty is also survived by her sisters, Wanda Harmon of Sidney, OH, and Opal Rigsbee (Roger) of Troy, OH, along with several very special nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews whom she loved dearly.
In honoring Betty's wishes, there will be no formal service at this time. A celebration of life will be held later this summer—her favorite time of year—when family and friends will gather to remember her, share stories, and celebrate the life she lived and the love she gave so freely.
Betty will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney.
