Barbara Jean (Driskell) Gibson

Barbara Jean Gibson, age 90, of Sidney, went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 8, 2022. She was born October 28, 1931, in Potomac, Illinois, the daughter of the late Hiram Tecumseh Driskell and Mabel Ellen (McKenzie)Driskell of Sidney, Ohio.

She is preceded in death by siblings Ross Driskell, Rosalie McLain, Evelyn Allen and Robert Driskell.  

She is survived by her husband, Eddie Hoot Gibson and 4 children, Starr Annette (Lawrence) Gould, Brenda Jean Thompson, Eddie Reid (Cindy) Gibson and Jill (Jerry) Givens. Grandsons Brent (Melanie) Klauss, Rusty (Vickie) Schwepe, Reid (Stacy) Gibson; granddaughters Jennifer Elsner, April (Jay) Rhoden, and Julie (Tony) Metzler. Great grandchildren Austin Klauss, Keller Klauss, Noah Schwepe, Evelyn Schwepe, Bree Metzler, Brooke Metzler Alex Rhoden, Drew Rhoden, Braden Schwarzwalder and extended family members and close friends.

She was affectionately known as “Grandma Honey” by all grandchildren. She will be missed and was loved by all.

Friends may call on Friday, August 12, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Rd., Sidney. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. with Max Knasel officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Point Cemetery, Pasco, Ohio.
