Sue A. (Miller) Jarrels

Sue A. Jarrels, age 80, of Anna, passed away peacefully November 29, 2017, at her residence, surrounded by her family.

She was born April 29, 1937 in Marion, Indiana, to the late Clyde and Thelma (Allison) Miller.

Sue is survived by significant other, Ned Wierwille of Anna, children; Kathy (Alan) Platfoot of New Bremen, Sherry (David) Nighteagle of Mancos, Co., Chris Platfoot of Anna, Carol (Chris) Marlow of Bellefontaine, six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, brother, Phil Miller of Sidney, and sister-in-law, Mariam Miller.

She was preceded in death by husbands, Orville Platfoot and Benjamin Jarrels, and brother, Jim Miller. Sue was of the Christian faith.  She was a 1955 graduate of Sidney High School.  She graduated from the Springfield Community Hospital School of Nursing in 1958. She was a retired RN and Director of Franklin Nursing Home in Sidney.  She loved OSU sports, Go Bucks, and was an avid fan.  She enjoyed crafts, horseracing, rodeos and spending time with her family and friends.

There will be a gathering of family and friends for a graveside service on Saturday,  December 2, 2017 at 11:30 a.m. at Pearl Cemetery in Swanders.

Memorial contributions may be made to Grand Lake Hospice in St. Mary’s, Ohio,  in Sue’s memory.

The staff of Adams Funeral Home has been entrusted with all funeral arrangements.
