RONALD E. LaPOINT, age 76, of Sidney passed away on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at his residence. He was born on January 30, 1941 in Lima to the late Manuel W. and Juanita (Minnie) LaPoint. On August 22, 1970, he married Hazel Rutherford LaPoint and she survives.
Ronald is also survived by three children: Michael (Shannon) Herbert, Teresa (Dennis) Baker and Rochelle (Keith) Bailey, all of Sidney; one sister: Sue LaPoint of St. Marys; sixteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister and three brothers.
Ronald attended Calvary Baptist Church. He retired after 46 years of service from Copeland Corporation. Ronald enjoyed working on cars, working in the yard, planting flowers and spending time with his grandchildren.
