Richard McLain

Richard L. McLain, age 74, of Sidney, passed away Sunday, December 2, 2018 at Ohio Living Dorothy Love. He was born October 20, 1944 in Sidney, Ohio to father James Cecil McLain and mother Rosalie Ellen (Driskell) McLain.

He survived by his loving wife of 26 years Nancy (Sprague) McLain whom he married on September 9, 1992; children Steve McLain, Chad McLain, and Greg McLain; step children Jeff Williams, David Williams, Randy Williams; several grandchildren; brother Keith (Pam) McLain of Sidney;  sister Charlotte (Ed) Foster of Sidney. He was preceded in death by brother Darrell (Jake) McLain and sister Martha Bowman.

Richard proudly served in the United States Army and was a Sidney High School graduate. He was a member of Snyder Road Church of God in Piqua. He was a man of many hats, working as an auctioneer, car salesman, and truck driver. He enjoyed NASCAR and Ohio State Football. He loved spending time with his family and friends.

A memorial service will be held Friday, February 8, 2019 from 2-4 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney, with Richard Keeran officiating. Burial will follow at Pearl Cemetery in Swanders.
