On Sunday, December 2, 2018, Renee’s eyes were closed for the last time. In her brief thirty six years, she touched many people with her brilliant smile and her sparkling eyes. She graduated from Sidney High School and Upper Valley JVS in 2001. (She was our Space Odyssey child). At JVS she took the Chef’s Training program, which started her love of cooking. The last meal that she prepared was left-over turkey breast with noodles and dumplings. (Just thought I’d throw that in). More recently, she worked several years for Sherwin Williams, where she learned just about all there is to know about paint. She currently worked at Wilson Memorial Hospital at the switchboard. Renee was the mother of 8 year old Mia, and the daughter of Sue (Grumling) and Terry Mintchell. Her siblings are Fred Mintchell, Aaron Dick, Kurt (Amy) Mintchell, and Andrea (Gary) Wiley. She was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, actively encouraging those she met to learn what the Bible really says. She even encouraged life as an organ donor.
